Lewis Ranieri is widely recognized as the principal creator and “father” of today’s $6 trillion mortgage-backed securities market. He helped establish the capital markets as a source of funds for housing and commercial real estate as well as leading the efforts to obtain federal legislation to support the mortgage securities industry. While at Salomon Brothers, where he last served as Vice Chairman, Mr. Ranieri was responsible for the firm’s activities in the mortgage, real estate and government guaranteed areas. Mr. Ranieri is the founder of Ranieri Partners LLC, an investment company formed in 2007 to focus on investments in financial service opportunities. Prior to this, he was the founder of Ranieri & Company and Hyperion Partners which focused on investment opportunities in the financial services sector ranging from the acquisitions of properties from the RTC, accumulating distressed multi-family properties and founding several banks, to the creation of one of the largest REITS.

Brookfield Investment Management (“BIM”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management (“BAM”) a NYSE listed company. BIM manages over $27 billion in debt and equity strategies for some of the largest pension plans, foundations, endowments and financial institutions in the world.

Eric Lindner, formerly the President of GMAC Institutional Advisors and Executive Vice President of GMAC Commercial Mortgage, has over 32 years of experience in the areas of real estate finance, investment and asset management. Mr. Lindner was a principal and co-founder of the Hanford/Healy Asset Management Company from its formation in 1991 through its acquisition by GMACCM in 1996. Joining Mr. Lindner as senior managers is a team of professionals, who have been working closely together since the market dislocation in the 1990s and are highly experienced in distressed commercial real estate.
